SUBMERSIBLE 60W LED EQUIPMENT ON LONG DURATION BATTERIES USES FOR NIGHT DIVING .

 
 
 WITH THE EXPERIMENT OF PROLONGED USE OF THIS HEALIGHT, MY COMMENTS WILL BE AS : 
 
- A) : The anodization of the body remains fragile with least friction on a surface such as the coral, a fortiori on harder one.

- B) : For a maximum convenience, the block of accumulators must absolutely be fixed in the back using a special adapter sold by the same store (https://www.eplonge.com),
or using an adapter like mine, manufactured house starting from a cross-belt/support of mini-bottle of Scuba diving.

- C) : The weight is not any more one embarrassment, once in immersion.

- D) : The cable is very practical, its valid flexibility, and its amply sufficient and easy length.

- E) : The announced power is in conformity, but Leds are fragile, and do not hold a long time, in any case far from the thousands of promised hours…
Personally, the first received headlight had roasted at the end of 01 hour 15, and had been replaced by the Salesman at the end of a few weeks.
With the second headlight received, after only 15 hours of use, 01 led released, and 01 other takes the same way.
The Service After Sale (S.a.s.) of Eplonge, contacted via email, has still not condescended to answer for several months, in spite of the acknowledgement of delivery of reading of this email…
But it is true that I reside at 22.000 kms of distance, and cannot thus intervene directly…
However, I do not despair to receive good news.

- F) : The mode of starting/stop remains very practical, it is simply necessary to take care to give 01 or 02 turns moreover for the extinction,
in the event of shaken or agitated transport (Boat or Car), in order to avoid any false firing which
could prove very detrimental if the material is confined in a closed bag or a compartment.
Like this material heats enormously (See in the paragraph -K) : hereafter), a considerable risk of fire is possible.

- G) : The autonomy of my headlight, once the load of the accumulators supplemented to the maximum, in several times,
after each cooling of the body, is summarized in three distinct phases.
The first phase, one 02 hours useful effective duration 15 probably giving 60 promised Watts.
Then in a second phase, in 02 or 03 minutes, the voltage drop occurs, to give the second phase,
one 03 hours useful additional duration 30, probably showing 30/40 Watts.

I never was until the end of the complete discharge.

- H) : The power loading without disassembling of the cable remains, without question, him also, practical…
But, for my part, I find fitting is too fine, because I was constrained to have to dismount the block accumulators for rescrew the internal nuts
stainless of fixings of the accumulators which had been loosened, and to stick them to avoid any possible loosening, thus losing the benefit of the Constructor guarantee.
In addition, the small block adapter of refill is him also too adjusted, and a little gadget, in measurement or its components are not well connected together,
and are disjoined at the end of some screwings/unscrewings.
There too, I was constrained to stick to superglue the various elements.
In the same way, the part making contact with the interior of the block, for the refill, is too short, and had to be elongated a little
so that the load is done correctly uninterrupted, without the witness of load not flickering.

- I) : The charger, a little gadget him also, does not seem to me very robust, and its reliability remains to be shown.
In any case, the witness of load remains very sensitive, not to say whimsical.
Completely discharged accumulators, supplements it refill is done at the end of approximately 07/08 hours.
I would advise to make it in 02 or 03 times, by leaving the block accumulators cool between each load. Whatever the utilisation period,
it should be known that then, the duration of refill remaining function of this utilisation period, the witness (Yellow !)
start to flicker 15 minutes before the complete load, for then dying out at the end of the load.
To then disconnect without delay the charger from the block from accumulators.

- J) : About the batteries Ni-Mh of 12 Volts, I do not have yet a point of comparison currently.

- K) : Caution : Not to use this headlight with the free air, because the handle heats terribly and becomes extremely warm at the end of a few minutes,

- L) : The Service After Sale (S.a.s.) leaves something to be desired, according to the Country where the material is sent, I think…
For example, if an exchange of whole or part of this material is required, it should be known that all the expenses of return
to the Salesman remain with the load of the Customer, even if it is a question of a defect of origin.
In all the cases, this was valid for what relates to me, because residing Overseas (New Caledonia).
The (Italian !) Manufacturer himself, contacted via email, has directly returned me near the Distributor/Retailer in France, without another form of lawsuit.
